Regular Season Round 6: Essex - Levice 46-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated BritishEssex (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Slovakian Levice (2-0) 80-46 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Essex. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Levice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Essex to just 4 points in third quarter. Levice forced 28 Essex turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Lukas Kulcar (182-2005) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Michal Lipovsky chipped in 21 points. Four Levice players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Thomas Blower who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Enoch Adebambo added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Levice keeps a position of league leader. Loser Essex dropped to the second place with one game lost.
